This part-time, W2, 100% remote opportunity is only for DC / MD / VA residents.

We are actively seeking one (1) part-time Human Resources Consultant.
Qualified applicants must have one (1) year of human resources generalist or manager experience in a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

This opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who desires only to work part-time.

Pinnacle HR Consulting, LLC, is an interwoven group of corporate and front-line human resources leaders who formerly represented small nonprofit and large public and private organizations. We have been together since 2011 as a remote team supporting small nonprofits and businesses in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond. We collaborate with amazing clients to manage their HR strategy, audit, employee relations, hiring, retention, termination, payroll, benefits, performance management, policy, compensation, and more.  

As a Human Resources Consultant, you will provide remote hands-on support to our clients and join a group of intelligent, diverse, respectful, and knowledgeable colleagues. Our environment is flexible and nontraditional, focusing on healthy living and satisfied clients.

Summary of the work!

Essential Job Duties

  • Provides remote hands-on support to assigned clients.
  • Develop work plans and prepare monthly productivity reports.
  • Demonstrates and maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources activities.
  • Advises client and management on the formulation, administration, and management of human resources programs, plans, and policies for performance management, compensation and benefits, payroll and timekeeping, employee relations, audit, risk management, recruitment, and staffing.
  • Analyzes and recommends effective human resources solutions and strategies.
  • Develops, revises, and implements human resources policies and procedures.
  • Recruits, interviews, and provides feedback on selecting applicants to fill open positions.
  • Ensures human resources programs comply with established policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  • Conducts periodic audits of human resources activities to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  • Coaches and trains clients and management in interviewing, hiring, termination, promotion, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment prevention.
  • Advises clients and management in appropriately resolving employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Answers routine and non-routine questions about payroll and benefits, human resources policy, and procedure promptly.
  • Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing human resources metrics for reports and special projects.
  • Develops and facilitates customized human resources, management, and customer service training.
  • Manages own professional development.
  • Works on special projects.
  • Attends meetings, conferences, and seminars.
  • Provides additional consulting services as assigned.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment assessments and background check process.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of human resources generalist or manager experience in employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, talent management, employee handbooks, employment law, policy and procedure, HR audit, performance management, conflict resolution, OR equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Must have at one (1) year of human resources generalist or manager experience in a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, communications, organizational development, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • One to two years of human resources consulting experience is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, especially Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint, cloud-based databases, and related business software.

Other Qualifications

  • HRCI, SHRM, or CEBS certification preferred!
  • Responsive, professional, and courteous client service skills.
  • Persuasive writing, conversational, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Salary

Prorated $110,240 - $116,480
