Compensation Specialist – As-Needed 1099 Individual Contract – Remote Opportunity
Pinnacle HR Consulting, LLC, is in search of a Compensation Specialist.  

This is a remote mid-level, as-needed 1099 individual contract opportunity. Reporting to the Principal Consultant & Owner, the Compensation Specialist will provide the following compensation market data, philosophy, and planning services: 

Contract Essential Duties
  • Review current compensation, salary grade structures, and job descriptions. 
  • Review and revise job descriptions and determine their FLSA status.
  • Prepare and produce PayScale compensation market data reports.
  • Provide a written summary of benchmark results that includes:

    (1) methodology, 
    (2) job matching results, 
    (3) market deviation explanation, 
    (4) recommendations to improve or correct the Client’s compensation strategy, pay structure, and pay bands, and 
    (5) recommendations will focus on competitive pay equity and long-term sustainability.
     
  • Adjust compensation and salary grade structures as needed or requested.
  • Revise recommendations as needed or requested.
  • Develop an adaptable short- and long-term compensation plan.
  • Develop a Compensation Philosophy and Plan that encourages and supports pay equity based on market compensation data and organizational ability to sustain competitive pay as a long-term goal.
  • Respond to and answer the Client’s questions and revise the Compensation Philosophy and Plan as needed.

Contract Requirements
  • Three to four years of relevant experience as a Compensation Specialist
  • Two years of PayFactors experience and current access to a PayFactors database to perform the contract's essential duties.
  • Three years of experience writing and revising job descriptions and determining their FLSA status.
  • Ability to analyze and produce market data reports and explain and clarify market deviation.
  • Strong report writing skills with an ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Past compensation experience in nonprofit organizations is highly recommended.
  • Current Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance coverage

Contract Details
Terms: As-Needed
Payment: $70.00 Per Billable Hour
Invoice Terms: Net 30 Days
